Ministry Update: King's Table Asia

After much prayer and careful discernment, my family and I have decided to relocate to South Korea. This was not an easy decision, but we believe it is the best path forward for my family, especially in light of my disability and my father’s caregiving situation, and also for the future of the ministry God has entrusted to us. I would be deeply grateful for your prayers as we walk through this transition.

As part of this move, I am beginning a new ministry called King’s Table Asia. This ministry will focus on theological education on suffering and disability through King’s Institute, and on supporting disability communities across Asia through King’s Mission Network by providing theological resources, wheelchairs, and medical equipment in partnership with missionaries. It will have its own board and will carry out its own fundraising as a nonprofit organization.

South Korea will become the central hub for this new work, while J.D. Kim Ministries will continue in the United States. The U.S. ministry will continue to provide English language resources for a broader audience and will also partner with King’s Table Asia through the prayers and support of many faithful partners.

An especially important role of J.D. Kim Ministries will be to offer free resources to a global audience so that disability ministries and churches can access them directly without needing to navigate through other organizations. I have already begun this work, and the new website is expected to be available around May. I believe this will become a meaningful contribution to the global church.

Thank you for standing with me through your prayer, encouragement, and support. Please continue your support and prayer for wisdom, strength, provision, and peace as we prepare for this next season.
