PRS Forum at Denver Seminary

Hello friends,

We warmly invite you to join the upcoming Public Reading of Scripture (PRS) Forum at Denver Seminary. Rooted in the Apostle Paul’s exhortation—“Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to teaching” (1 Timothy 4:13)—this forum seeks to renew a vital biblical discipline that shaped the life of the early church. Public Reading of Scripture is the practice of listening to substantial portions of God’s Word together in community—regularly, extensively, and reverently. Although this practice has declined in much of modern Christianity, it is now experiencing a revival in churches, seminaries, prisons, small groups, and homes, offering believers fresh encounters with God’s Word.

By participating in this forum, you will not only experience PRS firsthand but also be enriched through lectures from our distinguished faculty: Drs. Hélène Dallaire, Richard Hess, Craig Blomberg, Sung Wook Chung, and Ryan Tafilowski. Together, we will reflect on how PRS can foster spiritual growth, biblical literacy, and communal worship in diverse settings. Registration is required, and we encourage you to secure your place soon for this unique opportunity to listen deeply to Scripture and engage in meaningful dialogue with others.
