I will be leading a worship service and preaching a sermon to patients and their loved ones hospitalized at Craig Hospital. Please pray that they may be encouraged and comforted through the worship service and that they may start their new journey with Jesus. If you would like to volunteer, please contact me. Thanks.
I am excited to announce that we are starting our prayer meetings in 2019. Even though we may not meet on every third Thursday of each month in 2019, we will try to meet as often as we can on Thursdays to confess our faith in Him and call out to our Lord together, as the Scriptures teach us to pray communally. Also, check out the new website of J.D. Kim Ministries.
We will be conducting our prayer meetings little differently in 2019, focusing on one specific theme in each meeting. The theme of the first meeting is “Evangelism: Iran.” I invited Rev. Tat Stewart who serves as the pastor of his organization, Talim Ministries, which serves Iranian people and Christians, equipping pastors and others to become disciples among the Iranian people and providing the Biblical resources for churches inside and outside of the country of Iran. http://home.talimministries.com/
Here is a brief story of the pastor: “I am the son of medical missionaries to Iran. My father and mother lived in Iran for over 27 years and I lived there for 17 years…We were in Iran on November 4, 1979 when the American hostages were taken…have spent the last 40 years ministering to Muslims for Iran. My wife and I planted an Iranian church in the Washington D.C area…I was one of the founders of SAT-7 PARS, a 24/7 Farsi Christian satellite ministry. I have personally taught over 100 hours of discipleship materials in Farsi on the satellite ministry (www.Sat7pars.com)...Currently, I lead Farsi Bible studies in Colorado Springs, Denver and Fort Collins.
It will be a great opportunity for us to learn more about the suffering of the Iranian people and the needs for God’s sovereign and unconditional love for all nations and human beings. I hope you can make to the meeting, so that we can be inspired by one another and beseech God to have mercy on Iran and her people. The first meeting will be on 1/31/2019 (Thu.) at CHCC (Fireside of Room). Before you come, please watch this video to familiar yourselves with the hardships of the country, if possible. https://vimeo.com/250189103
Send me your prayer requests, and we will pray with you.
We started the first prayer meeting on 1/18/2018, and we are about to have the last prayer meeting of 2018. Thank you for your sincere prayers and selfless support. On 10/18/2018, we will confidently pray for our global and local churches, humbly beseech him to have mercy on those who are suffering around world, especially the caregivers and families of individuals with disabilities, and sincerely pray for our brothers and sisters who shared their prayer requests. We will intercede for Afghanistan, as she is the least evangelized nation in the world, and lift up other countries that we have been praying for during our meetings: the US, Korea, Mexico, Indonesia, Egypt, and Germany. Join us and send us your prayer requests! 6:45pm, 10/18/2018, CHCC (Fireside room)
Let’s put our faith and hope in our triune God. “The Lord is gracious and righteous; our God is full of compassion. The Lord protects the unwary; when I was brought low, he saved me. Return to your rest, my soul, for the Lord has been good to you” (Ps. 116:5-7). For this coming prayer meeting, we will beseech God for his global and local churches that he may guard His churches from the false teachings and breathe on us holy desire passion for the Scriptures and gospel. Also, we will pray for Germany, as she has been struggling with her faith and other issues for a long time. Eckhard Lambers who is from Germany will share with us about the nation. Our prayer is the confession of our faith in the LORD. Join us at CHCC (Fireside room), 6:45, 8/16/2018. Send me your prayer requests!
We glorify the triune God who exists in the glorious fellowship of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. It is our strength, privilege and blessing to worship him, and him alone. Last month, a friend from Indonesia and Pastor Gene Kissinger who came back from an Indonesia mission trip shared about Indonesians who were struggling with many hardships physically and spiritually. Our hearts were united in one Power and sought one Name that is above all names. On 6/21, we will continuously beseech God for his mercy and faithfulness, pray for Egypt and her people, and ask God to use his saints and churches to transform not only Egypt, but also the surrounding cities and countries around her. Join us at CHCC (Fireside room), 6:45, 6/21. Send me your prayer requests!
We worship an amazing God who deserves all glory and honor, and under the shadow of his wings, we can find rest and comfort and regain our strength, confidence, and hope again. Last month, we had a great fellowship of prayer. I invited a friend who is from Mexico, and she shared a story of losing her friend because of the drug cartel. Our hearts were crushed, and all of us cried with her for Mexico. Tomorrow, we will continuously beseech God for his mercy and faithfulness and pray for Indonesia as she is suffering tremendously and has been suffering through Tsunami which occurred on 12/26/2004 and took away the lives of 230,000 people. We will humbly lift up our voices, brokenness, and faith to God. Join us. CHCC (Fireside room), 7:00, 5/17 (every third Thursday each month).
Last month, we had an amazing prayer time, praising the name of Yahweh and crying out to God for his compassion. We usually meet on the third Thursday of each month, but in April, we will be meeting at CHCC, at 7:00 on 4/26, not on 4/19. On 4/26, we will beseech God to have mercy on Mexico, restore the order of the government, comfort the broken hearts of numerous Mexicans, and raise up his people to lead their churches and communities to seek God and fight injustice. Scripture says, “…every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” (Phi. 2:10-11). This is exactly what we do in our meetings. We raise our voices and pray in English, Korean, Spanish, and tongue, confessing Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior who is the greatest of all. Send me your prayer requests, and we will pray with you.
In our second prayer meeting, we supplicated for God's kingdom and deliverance from suffering and hardship and for the United States of America (her healing, repentance, and salvation). In our third meeting, we will beseech God to have mercy on South Korea, strengthen his churches and children, and restore the broken society and public ethics. We will continuously ask that God may mold us into his image, strengthen his local churches, and use J.D. Kim Ministries for his glory. Scripture teaches us: “And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people”(Eph. 6:18). Therefore, we will pray together. Send me your prayer requests, and all of us will pray with you. At Cherry Hills Community Church (fireside room), 7:15 on 3/15.
The first prayer meeting of J.D. Kim Ministries was great, and even friends from Colorado Springs joined us. In each meeting, we will pray for one country specifically, starting with the U.S. We will continuously ask that God may mold us into his image, strengthen his local churches for his glory, and use J.D. Kim Ministries to serve those who experience hardships. Also, we will pray for our family and friends that God may give them new identity and vision in Jesus our Lord. God knows our needs and gives us more than we ask always. Send me your prayer requests, and all of us will pray with you. At Cherry Hills Community Church (fireside room), 7:15 on 2/15 (Thursday)
J.D. Kim Ministries will begin our monthly prayer meeting in 2018. The Scripture teaches us that when believers gathered and prayed in humility and faith, God had compassion on them and answered their supplications. More importantly, God was glorified through their prayers. The meeting will start at 7:00pm on 1/18/2018, and will be on every third Thursday of a month, same time and place, at Cherry Hills Community Church: fireside-room, on the second floor of the main building. Come to the main entrance of the main building, and you will see the sign to the room. “Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them” (Matt. 18:19-20).
This is a Korean sermon preached at Joyful Baptist Church. Title of the message is “God Regenerates our Brokenness.”
