Prayer Requests

Hello friends,

About a month ago, I underwent sinus surgery as my condition was too severe for medicine alone. After the procedure, I faced some obstacles like infection, sore throat, fatigue, and acid reflux. But I am gradually recovering and grateful that God provides our needs. I want to share a few updates and ask for your prayers:

  • On September 3, I taught on the image of God at Cherry Hills Community Church.

  • On September 24, I preached remotely at the150-year-old First Presbyterian Church in Hilton, VA.

  • My interview with Joni & Friends has been uploaded on the below links. Please listen to it, share the links with others who many need to hear it, and pray that God uses it for his glory and to encourage many broken people.

  • For the second time, on September 4, I started teaching theology at Shilloh International Theological Seminary in Ethiopia via Zoom. It is crucial for Ethiopia to have pastors and theology professors who possess a deep understanding of the Gospel and Scripture. Unfortunately, false teachings have already infiltrated many Christian communities and churches. I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the global needs of the Gospel. Please join me in praying for the churches and pastors in Ethiopia.

  • On October 4, I will lecture on the question of God’s suffering at Foothills Fellowship Church in Littleton, CO.

  • From October 5-7, there will be seminars on community Bible reading. I am excited to assist in these sessions, as I truly believe they will provide valuable encouragement for reading the Bible together as a community and reignite our passion for meditating on Scripture.

  • On November 7, I will preach at Denver Seminary before colleagues and students.

  • On November 10, I will preach at Semihan Church in Carrollton, TX. I will be driving to Texas with my parents.

  • On November 14, I will present research at the Evangelical Theological Society meeting in San Antonio, TX. The title of my presentation is “Exploring the Movement of the Inner Life of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.”

  • I have finished writing on Leviticus 21 and will share it soon.

  • I am working on books about disability ministry and answering difficult faith questions.

Please pray for strength, safe travels to Texas, and spiritual wisdom to glorify God’s name. Your support and prayers are vital to empowering me to carry out the missions of J.D. Kim Ministries.

Thank you.
