Sharing Treats and Cards with Friends at Craig Hospital

Dear friends of J.D. Kim Ministries,

Many of the patients and their family members at Craig Hospital (a rehabilitation hospital for patients with traumatic brain injury and spinal-cord injury) and are going through very difficult times. Because of the Covid-19, only one visitor has been allowed to meet a patient during his or her restricted visiting times, even for direct family members. And no volunteer has been able to serve them since last year to protect them who are prone and vulnerable to the virus. Can you imagine the loneliness, depression, and anxiety that they could be experiencing in their darkest hours, not even having a full support from their loved ones? Thankfully, the staff has done a wonderful job taking care of their patients. No patient has been infected by the virus since its breakout last year.

To share God’s words and love with others, we decided to serve the staff, patients, and families at Craig by bringing them some treats from Duffeyroll and handing out cards to them. It may not be much, but we pray that such treats may give them glimpse of joy and demonstrate our gratitude for the staff. More importantly, many volunteers penned sincere words on the cards to encourage the patients and family members and to thank the staff at Craig Hospital. The cards were filled with the Words of God and the love, prayer, and compassion of volunteers. Please pray that God may use our treats and cards to comfort their broken hearts and to inspire them to start a new journey with Jesus Chris.

Thank you for your prayer and support.

Sincerely,

JD Kim
