God is ready. Are we ready?
God is ready. Are we ready?
As many have anticipated, we are observing a post-presidential election chaos. Who is the next president of the USA? Was there a ballot fraud or foreign interference or illegal activity? We may or may not find the answers, and may or may not even appreciate the process of determining the next president of this country. Then, how should we respond to the result of this election?
It is crucial to remind of ourselves that God has been “ready” for this presidential election since the genesis of creation; therefore, we should be “ready” to praise Him regardless of the result of this election. Our triune God is good, righteous, and almighty to carry out His master plans that are being “already” fulfilled in this world broken by human sin and wickedness and infected by the coronavirus and its transmissions to every part of our lives.
I pray that God’s words through the prophet Isaiah turn our attention from the past to the future of God, and give us confidence in God to be ready to praise Him and to pursue His creative and new visions for us: ”Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. The wild animals honor me, the jackals and the owls, because I provide water in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland, to give drink to my people, my chosen, the people I formed for myself that they may proclaim my praise” (Isa. 43:18-20).
May God truly bless and unite the divided states of America!
